August 12 - Overcoming Communications Obstacles: Firewalls, Management and Protocol-Interop
During this session Roger Campbell, from Direct Packet Research, Inc., will give a brief discussion regarding how to:
- Overcome disparate networks for reliable connectivity with intelligent dial plans for VoIP and Video
- Extend the reach of provisioning tools (i.e. CMA/TMS/VoIP PBX) across disparate networks (internal/external) for managing endpoints
- Seamlessly gateway SIP/H.323 environments to achieve “unified” communications
- Leverage mixed/legacy manufacturer platforms without forklift upgrading existing technology

September 2 - Project ECHO: A New Care Model to Benefit Underserved Patients and Clinicians
Join Dr Sanjeev Arora, Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of New Mexico, as he presents an overview of Project ECHO, an innovative and effective model for chronic care delivery to underserved patients. Developed and piloted in New Mexico, Project ECHO has built disease-based knowledge networks that link academic medical centers to community primary care providers in order to facilitate the delivery of timely and evidence-based care to underserved patients with complex health conditions. Recognized for its positive impact on patient health outcomes, healthcare costs and clinician satisfaction, Project ECHO represents a new model for chronic care delivery with primary care at its very heart. Brown Bag Registration Information
These meetings will be held via video or audio/web. Bridging Services will be sponsored by Glowpoint. All video participants (IP and ISDN) must certify their system one time with Glowpoint at least 48 hours prior to the event and test content reception. Information regarding certification can be found on Glowpoint's website. Please note that you will not be charged for this service and do not need to complete that portion of the form. If you certified your system for a previous Brown Bag there is no need to re-certify.
It is the intent of the VCI-Group to send all presentations using the H.239 standard to ensure the highest quality content. Please certify a system capable of receiving such content.
To participate via video you must have certified your video system and we must receive your registration by 2:00 PM EDT on the Tuesday before the event. Participants who register after this time will only be able to participate via audio.
